Inkin' It Up!

I'm Back and Feeling Great.............

I've been away the last few weeks trying to get my house in order and ready to sell and moving everything to where I will be staying until the house does sell.  I never knew anybody could have so much crapt......I mean seriously, it's ridiculous!  I am feeling a lot better about the whole situation.   While I have been busy with all this house mess, I haven't gotten to stamp....at all!     All my stamps, paper and ink are now all unpacked and I have a small desk that I am using (can't fit my big desk in until I get my new place).  I am looking forward to getting some stamp time in and I know all my Design Teams are missing my samples and I have been missing designing for them.   

This is a card that I made a couple of weeks ago before I had to pack everything up.  I used two different sets from Clear Dollar Stamps........the tree is from the Aloha set and the monkey and coconuts are from the Monkey Madness set........isn't he just the cutest?  I love this monkey set, it's one of my faves!

I'll be back this weekend with some more eyecandy!

I haven't posted in several days, sorry about that......I have been busy trying to work on DT stuff, getting ready for vacation and getting ready to move!   The first two are not that hard to prepare for, but the moving part - definitely hard!   Not just because I have to pack up 14 years worth of "stuff", but because it also means the ending of one life and the beginning of another.   The divorce has definitely been hard on me, but selling my house and moving from somewhere I have lived with my family for so long really gets to me.   Things won't ever be the same and I can't go back.....moving forward is the only way to go.   I have told myself that I was ready, now I don't know.  I guess I'll take it one day at a time.  :)

Now on to happier stuff..........this is a card a made a couple of weeks ago and forgot to post.  I used Mama Kitty and Simon from Clear Dollar Stamps.   The sentiment is also from Clear Dollar Stamps, it's called Formal Sentiments.  Aren't these kitties just the sweetest?    I colored them both the same color as my cat, Sammie, using my Copic Markers.   The color combo is PTI White, Wild Wasabi and Cool Caribbean - I don't remember the name of the DP, it was just some I had in my stash.    The ribbon is SU! striped grosgrain and is some of my absolute favorite - I have tons of this because I'm afraid I'm gonna run out! haha    I used lots of stickles around the edges of the cardstock and oh my, it's soooo sparkly!

After browsing Amy Rysavy's blog this morning and reading one of her posts and seeing that gorgeous new tattoo she just got, I felt compelled to show you the tattoo I got on my leg about 3 weeks ago, this isn't my first.....it's my second and surely won't be my last.   It is about 3 1/2" in height.   Yes, it hurt and yes, I love it!

Heard You Caught a Bug?!!

I have made several get well cards, but this has definitely got to be my favorite!   I absolutely {heart} this VW Bug - how clevah!   This set is called "Sometimes You're the Bug" and is made by Clear Dollar Stamps.   It comes with 14 different images and also has different words so you can personalize the license plate.   For the sentiment on the convertible top, I used the "sister set"......."Bugs and Kisses".   Bugs and Kisses has 29 different images - it has a ton of license plate words, sentiments, etc. for only $9.99!!!  I am enabled everywhere I go these days, so I am just passing it on!!!

If you love to color like I do, then this set is for you.  It is fantastic to color!  I used my copics, then cut the bug out and popped it up on dimensionals.  I used crystal effects for the windshield and the lights.  It's hard to tell in the photo, but I also used my Spica Glitter Pen on the steering wheel and stickles along the edges of the panel.......it's soooo sparkly!

Gigi the Giraffe

Can you believe it's July 1?  Wow, just a few more days and the 4th is here!   Got any plans?  I don't as of yet, but hopefully in the next few days that will change!

MFTeaser and a Clear Dollar Stamps Peek!!!

Happy Monday!!  I can't believe the weekend went by so fast, but at least it's a short week and 4th of July is Friday, woohoo!   I spent the weekend stamping and catching up on some card orders and design team obligations.   Here is an MFTeaser of the new set from My Favorite Things called Bunny Slippers that will be available this Wednesday night July 2 ............omg this set is sooooo cute!  And I'm not just gushing because I am on the design team, it truly rocks!  I used my copic markers to color (i love 'em!), paper pieced the robe, added some tulip puffy paint to the collar and sleeves and used my art pen to draw the hardwood flooring.  I had so much fun designing this card, now to figure out who it's going to!

Here is the other "peek" I promised, meet Charlie Frolic from Clear Dollar Stamps.  He will be available tomorrow, July 1.   There are a couple of other new sets that will be debuting as well and you won't want to miss them!   Charlie Horse is a real cutie and check out that adorable sentiment!  SCS's own Laurie Wilson (tx stamper) designs some of the amazing stamps for Clear Dollar Stamps (and sweet charlie is one of them).  I used Crystal Effects on Charlie, distressed some of the layers and added a lot of white gel pen work.   The background was made using "Hoofin' It".....I attached the stamp to one of CDS' clear wheels and rolled it on.   You can attach any of your clear stamps to these wheels.......Check them out here. They are the bomb!!
